HOT FROM SCOTT
The ever-busy folks at Scott Country have two brand-new, thermal-imaging devices arriving very soon. The first is the Flir Scout TK, a pocket-sized thermal vision monocular for exploring the outdoors at night, and in low light conditions. This tiny hand-held device is perfect for spotting squirrels and other quarry in foliage, even when traditional optics, such as day scopes and night-vision, are impeded by adverse weather, foliage, trees etc. The Scout TK reveals quarry in your surroundings at ranges over 100 yards away, allowing you to scout, identify and despatch in a safer cleaner and quicker way than ever possible before. It offers a choice of colour-viewing palettes including White/Black Hot, InsAlert, Graded Fire – great for spotting squirrel dreys, we’re told – and more. It’s expected to retail at £519.99
The second is the SCI T20, a highperformance, thermal riflescope, at a remarkable price. Providing up to 150m detection with a variable 3-6x Optical mag’ and super-smooth 30hz refresh, the T20 now allows you to locate, identify and target your quarry with a variable optical zoom. It’s perfect for ratting and rabbiting. With a choice of user-selectable reticles, the T20 attaches using a traditional scope ring mount, allowing fitment on all PCP, springers and even air pistols.
