MEETING PHIL

Airgun World - - Points Of You -

As I was coming out of my weekly visit to the gym on Sunday – I try to keep fit so I can carry on hunting as a 70 year-old – I bumped into Phil Hardman who looked as if he was out with his family, but he still had the decency to stop and have a chat. He is a top bloke and a lot of these overpaid sports people could learn a lot from the shooting fraternity. It is nice to chat to the people who pay your wages!

Keep up the good work. If only they’d had magazines like Airgun World when I was a 10 year-old, I would know a lot more about fieldcraft than I do now, but thanks to the likes of Phil and the rest of your team I am slowly learning. I’ve just returned to shooting after a 55-year absence. JOE JONES

You’re absolutely right, Joe, Phil really is a top bloke, and he genuinely enjoys talking to those who read his articles, or anyone else come to that, about the sport he so dearly loves. We’re so lucky to have a team of truly dedicated contributors and it’s always gratifying to see them appreciated. – Ed

Phil’s a genuine good guy – unless you’re a squirrel, obviously.
