NAPIER APEX HUNTING KNIVES MODELS 46 AND 46D

Airgun World - - What's Going On -

Napier of London is very proud to announce the release of two new hunters’ knives.

‘Apex’ has become the brand associated with some truly remarkable stalkers’ kit and in line with the development of these products a great deal of time and testing has been spent in the design for purpose and reliability which has resulted in two beautiful variants, The Model 46, Stainless AISI 440c Blade and the 46D offered in Damascus steel. The original requirement was to design a hunter’s knife that could cope with all UK species.

Each drop-blade shaped knife is ergonomically designed with a palm swell Micarta handle, attached to a full tang, best quality blade, along with stainless bolsters.

Over the past two years several prototypes were extensively tested and presented to industry professionals for comment. The addition of some features such as the top blade rib and brass-lined lanyard eye were finalised through research and feedback as recently as IWA 2018. This resulted in two superb handmade blades, heavy enough to do the job but well balanced and practical in the field.

Each one is presented with a premium quality, tan leather sheath. Slim and well-positioned for a belt, it features a strong Napier brass logo, press stud fastener, and the double-stitched, brass-riveted, cowhide leather is lined with a laminateproofed goat skin, that renders it as practical as a plastic-lined article, but much more robust.

Napier offers a 3-year limited warranty and each individually numbered knife is supplied with full instructions. A bottle of APEX edge honing and knife care oil is included with every knife to keep it in pristine condition.

The first production run is limited to just 150 units of each model worldwide, and will be available from Napier stockists In the UK from December 2018.
