Car fire tackled at barracks

AN early morning car fire at Lille barracks in Aldershot was tackled by firefighters on Tuesday.

Fire crews were called when the vehicle, parked outside the main gates at the barracks off Artillery Road, went up in flames at around 4am. The cause of the fire is not thought to be suspicious.

The car owner was there when they arrived and they extinguished the flames that started in the engine compartment.
