RUNNERS of all abilities are being encouraged to sign up and stretch their legs in a series of races through the Alice Holt Forest, in aid of the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice.

Hosted by the Farnham Runners, the annual race series, taking place on Saturday September 13, is made up of a 10k, 5k, 3k or 1k event, all of which follow the same sce- nic, multi-terrain course on smooth hard-packed gravel through the woods.

Craig Tate-Grimes, the race director, said: “The Alice Holt race series has proved to be immensely popular with runners from a wide range of abilities, and we are looking forward to another excellent day.”

Free parking is provided at the event along with a supervised baggage area.

Drinks and sponge stations will also be available at the start and finish of each race, as well as at the half-way stage of the 10km event.

The race series is being sponsored by Farnhambased technology PR firm Whiteoaks, as well as Andrew Lodge Estate Agents.

Whiteoaks chairman and chief executive, James Kelliher, said: “This forest run challenge is a fantastic way to get fit and support a great local event.”

The entry fee ranges from £5 to £12 depending on age and distance categories. To find about more and to sign up, visit www.farnham-runners.org.uk.
