Grant gives sisters a chance to shine

SISTERS Tabby and Darci Goulty, from Windlesham, have been awarded a grant to improve their wakeboarding skills.

Tabby, 15, and Darci, 12, recently received a step-up grant thanks to Surrey Heath youth programme, the Windle Valley Youth Project.

A form of kite surfing, the sisters took up wakeboarding competitively two years ago and are hoping to compete at the British Cable Nationals later this month.

“We’re so grateful to have been given this grant,” they said, adding it would allow them to attend one-to-one sessions with national coaches, with a view to achieving a place in the Great Britain squad.
