Fundraising summer social goes a little football crazy
and supporters of the Farnborough-based Community Matters Partnership Project met for a summer social last week.
The Community Matters Partnership Project (CMPP) is a group of local companies and organisations who work together to fundraise, volunteer and support the social and economic needs of the community in which they operate.
More than 160 members and guests of the project joined together at the Village Hotel last Thursday for the event, which had a football World Cup theme this year.
Guests were invited to dress up and decorate their tables to match the teams they represented.
Christine Eustace, project manager for CMPP said: “It was a fantastic evening which could not have happened without the amazing Danielle Enderson and her staff at the Village Hotel, who hosted the event, The Vice Squad, whose members include several past and present staff members of The Sixth Form College Farnborough, who gave their time freely to entertain us all so brilliantly and the donations made by so many organisations and individuals to our raffles and auction.”
The event raised more than £4,000 in aid of the The Gaming Zone, a social enterprise that provides free facilities and support for youngsters in Rushmoor.
