Elson’s in the swing with top new deal
OPEN champion Rory McIlroy wasn’t the only golfer celebrating success at the weekend – European Tour pro Jamie Elson also had plenty of crow about after signing a lucrative sponsorship deal.
The Bagshot-based former Walker Cup star has secured a partnership with Boutique Golf Events and Sponsorship company, Jenahura, who are based at the Bearwood Lakes Golf Club from where he is attached.
The agreement will see Jenahura’s logo embroidered on Elson’s shirt and golf bag for the remainder of the season as he battles to secure his full playing rights in 2014.
Jenahura will also manage Elson’s commercial deals, provide support and advice to help him achieve his career goals.
Elson said: “I am delighted to agree a deal with Jenahura. I attended their flagship corporate event, The Jenahura Open at Royal Lytham in 2012 and was really impressed with how they look after their clients.
Everything they do is first class, delivered and managed exceptionally well. Jenahura’s contacts and support network is exactly what I need and at just the right time. It has been an incredible few weeks for me; my game is showing signs of some real form, Jenahura have shown a lot of faith in me and my wife Hannah and I are expecting our second child in December! All great news as I head to France next week!”

Elson is looking forward to building on a promising pro career which reached it peak at the 2012 Joburg Open where a closing eagle and final round 63 saw him finish in a tie for second place and earned him his biggest European Tour purse to date of €149,500.
