Daredevils wanted for tower abseil

-

JUST a few spaces remain on the Parity for Disability abseil challenge, down the Spinnaker Tower.

Members of the public are asked to take on the 300-foot abseil, on Sunday August 24, in support of the Farnborough-based charity, which provides vital services for people with multiple disabilities in Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire.

No previous abseiling experience is required, and all guidance and equipment is provided by specialists.

Helene Abbiss, Parity community support director, said: “This is an amazing challenge for someone who wants to face their fears and at the same time help a very vital charity.”

A £25 deposit is required and participants will need to raise a minimum of £175 in sponsorship.

Details and an entry pack are available at www.parityfordisability.org.uk, or contact Helene Abbiss on 01252 375581 or by email to helene@parity fordisability.org.uk.
