Windfall from water company

-

HANDY new taps are helping children at a Fleet pre-school stay hygienic thanks to South East Water’s Community Chest Fund.

Ancells Farm Community Pre-School applied for a £640.80 grant from the water company for two portable sinks so the children, aged four and under, can wash their hands hygienically after snack and play time.

As the school shares the community centre, the portable facilities are an ideal pack-away replacement for adult sinks.

The pre-school’s Harsha Bhohaita said: “We are very grateful to South East Water for the generous award. Before, the children would have to stand on a step to reach the sink while another reached the pump-action tap. They love the new portable sinks as they can easily and hygienically wash their hands at snack time and after sand and mud play, before we pack them away neatly.”
