MP VISITS PUB TO SEE ITS £100K REFURBISHMENT
ALDERSHOT MP Leo Docherty learnt how to pull the perfect pint when he popped into his new-look local.
Mr Docherty jumped at the chance to visit The George in Wellington Street following a major £100,000 investment.
He was met by general manager Michaela O’Connell, along with area manager Luke Jones, who showed him the newly refurbished pub and discussed what they had going on.
Michaela said: “It was great to talk to Mr Docherty about what we’ve got going on at the pub, from darts night to quizzes, karaoke to live DJ’s, plus new TV screens for sports fans to catch live sporting events.
“Since the re-opening, the team and I have ensured there is plenty of entertainment throughout the week to keep the pub thriving in the community.”
After his visit, Mr Docherty said: “I thoroughly enjoyed myself at The
George where I met the team and got the chance to learn how to pull the perfect pint.
“The pub is just across the road from my office so it was great to see the refurbishment and the work Michaela and the team have put in to making it a hotspot for the local community in Aldershot to come and socialise.
“I was really pleased that it hosts such a welcoming atmosphere and to hear the extensive range of entertainment on throughout the week from sport, to quizzes to DJ nights – there really is something for everyone.”
