Boost for centre revamp

-

SANDHURST Day Centre has received a cheque for £1,300 from the Bracknell Nepalese Association. The cheque was presented to the Mayor of Bracknell Forest, Councillor Pauline McKenzie, who has selected the day centre as her chosen charity.

The ventre’s objective is to enable the older people in the Bracknell Forest community to have access to a facility which provides for their social needs and wellbeing. This is achieved by running a minibus service to collect and return members to and from the centre which offers companionship, social activities, hot meals and various care facilities.

Cllr Mrs McKenzie said: “On behalf of the staff, volunteers and trustees, I would like to thank the Bracknell Nepalese Association for their most generous donation, which will be used for the ongoing refurbishment of the day centre.”
