Hunt for car driver after motorcyclist hurt in crash
A MOTORCYCLIST in Farnborough was knocked off his bike by a car driver who fled the scene, police have said, and officers investigating the incident have now issued an appeal for witnesses.
The crash happened in Elles Road, near Farnborough Airport, at around 3.30pm on Thursday February 15.
A man riding a Honda motorcycle was reportedly knocked off his bike in a collision with a silver car. The rider, in his 20s, was taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries. Police say the car driver left the scene and are asking anyone who saw anything to come forward.
In a statement, Hampshire Constabulary said: “We are appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage following a road traffic collision in Farnborough. Officers attended the scene on Elles Road (A327), near Farnborough Airport, at around 3.30pm on February 15.
“The collision involved a silver car and a Honda motorcycle. The rider of the motorcycle, a man in his 20s, was knocked off his bike and suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries. He was taken to hospital for treatment. The driver of the car did not stop at the scene. Since this was reported to us, officers have been carrying out various lines of enquiry and are now appealing for information.
