Award nominations boost salon owner’s growing reputation
A FORMER All Hallows Secondary School student is one of five National Beauty Awards finalists.
Marianna Konstantakis, 22, the owner of MK Beauté in Newport Road, Aldershot, has been shortlisted for the Best Lash Artist and Best Lash Salon awards.
Marianna began her beauty journey in 2018. After leaving secondary school, she joined Farnborough College of Technology where she obtained her Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Specialist Techniques. She then completed an eyelash extension course.
Marianna has been running her beauty salon since November 2022 and said she “couldn’t be more proud to be up for these awards” after being only a year and five months into her career.
This latest achievement follows a host of certificates received so far this year. These include:
A finalist certificate from GB Beauty Awards for Lashes Specialist of the Year;
A finalist certificate from the UK Hair and Beauty Awards for Lash Stylist of the Year;
Finalist certificates from The Female Boss Awards for Russian Lash Specialist of the Year, Lash Specialist of the Year and Best Lash Newcomer of the Year, and;
Grand finalist certificates from The Female Boss Awards for Russian
Lash Specialist of the Year, Lash Specialist of the Year and Best Lash Newcomer of the Year.
Marianna posted on social media: “I’m so overwhelmed to share that out of thousands of entries, I am one of five other people in the UK who have been shortlisted as a finalist for The National Beauty Awards. I’m absolutely over the moon for my little business to be recognised by this prestigious awards ceremony.
“Never in a million years did I think I would get this far when opening my salon and I can’t thank my clients enough for coming back to me to do their lashes – I always look forward to seeing you all. Fingers crossed for May!”
