THE ‘AZINCOURT 1415’ CENTRE
AZINCOURT, PAS-DE-CALAIS
No list of places to explore for the Hundred Years’ War is complete without a visit to the Agincourt battlefield. The recently renovated ‘Azincourt 1415’ Centre is a museum dedicated to exploring the historical, economic, political and social contexts of the Battle of Agincourt, as well as highlighting the daily life of those living in the Middle Ages. It’s perfect for a family visit, with plenty of interactive screens and games to keep children entertained, and there’s a route that takes visitors to the battlefield itself, where there’s an observation tower that offers a great view of the site. Considered both a museum but also a place of memory, the centre also houses a memorial dedicated to those who died in the battle. The museum has two tours, one that lasts for an hour and is suited for those who want a quick visit, while the other is around two to three hours long.
Open all year round from 10am-5:30pm, closed on Tuesdays. An average adult ticket is €9 and concessions are available. azincourt1415.com
