JOAN OF ARC MUSEUM

-

ROUEN, NORMANDY

The Joan of Arc Museum has two aims: to help people discover Joan’s life and to examine the myths about her that have developed over the last five centuries, creating an enduring legacy that can still be seen in today’s modern media. It is located in the Archbishop’s Palace in Rouen, where Joan was sentenced to death for heresy in 1431, and where the retrial that exonerated her was held in

1456. Unlike typical museums with objects on display, the Joan of Arc museum offers an interactive journey that dives into her remarkable story, including an immersive experience that gives visitors the opportunity to become a witness and participant in Joan’s second trial. It’s filled with 3D maps, projections and screens, and it’s possible to explore the site through either a self-guided or a guided tour, depending on your preference.

Open Tues-sun, 10am-7pm. An average adult ticket is €10.50 and concessions are available. historial-jeannedarc.fr/en/
