DUTCH IMPORT TEA INTO EUROPE

The Dutch East India Company imports tea to Europe for the first time, from Hirado in Japan. The drink becomes popular in The Hague and the Dutch spread the popularity of tea to Germany, France, and their colony in the Americas, New Amsterdam.
