Church of St Mary and St David, Kilpeck, Herefordshire

Some claim the Sheela-na-gig is a remnant of Celtic goddess worship; others maintain that, as Sheelas are generally found in Norman churches, they’re not indigenous to Britain. Legend has it that Kilpeck Church once housed other obscene carvings, which were removed after a Victorian lady complained.
