GOLD-INLAID DESIGN

There is some debate about who was responsible for the intricate engravings and gold-inlaid design. Some suggest it was Waterman Lilly Ormsby, who founded the Continental Bank Note Company. Other possible names are Gustave Young, Herman Bodenstein and John Marr.
