Uranus is vis­i­ble all through the evening. Al­ready high in the east as dark­ness falls, the planet has a mag­ni­tude of 5.7, mean­ing it is vis­i­ble to the naked eye, but is best viewed through binoc­u­lars or a small tele­scope. Look out for the wan­ing gib­bous Moon pass­ing be­neath Uranus be­tween 17 and 18 De­cem­ber.
