Mars

20:00 GMT on 13 January

-

Constellation: Pisces

Magnitude: 0.5

AM/PM: PM

You’ll find Mars high in the southeast after sunset. Through a telescope Mars’ disc will be small, but you should still be able to see the white button of its south polar cap at high magnification. Look for a young

crescent Moon shining close to Mars low in the southwest on the evenings of 12 and 13 January.
