At the start of the month Mercury will be very low in the southeast to the lower left of brighter Jupiter, which itself will be to the lower left of brilliant Venus. At magnitude 0.4 the elusive little world will struggle to shine through the bright sky, and you might need binoculars to pick it out – but only before the Sun rises.
