At the start of January Saturn will be just a Moon’s width from the Sun, so impossible to see. As days pass the Ringed Planet will slowly drift away from our star, but will remain too close to be seen until the month is almost over, and even then it will be hard to see, very low in the southeast for less than an hour before sunrise.
