Mars 2020 rover’s first driving test
Now that 2020 has arrived, another decade full of groundbreaking space exploration missions is set to begin. The start of the era will see NASA launch its Mars 2020 rover to the Red Planet – blast off is scheduled for July.
Currently, the rover is being examined and tested to the maximum to ensure it’s ready for life on the Red Planet. On 17 December 2019, Mars 2020 went on a driving test in preparation for navigation around Jezero crater as it hunts for microbial life.
