Its low height in the sky still can’t obscure Jupiter’s brilliance as a shining blue-white orb hanging over the southern horizon. A small telescope, or perhaps even binoculars, will show Jupiter’s four Galilean moons – namely Io, Europa, Ganymede and Callisto – orbiting and transiting the planet.
