Peebles is the Albert Einstein professor of science, emeritus, at Princeton University, New Jersey. His contributions to science, astrophysics and cosmology since the 1960s have shaped how we think about the entire universe. This effort led to him winning the 2019 Nobel Prize in Physics, sharing it with fellow professors Michel Mayor and Didier Queloz.
