Solstices in 2022

If a year’s two equinoxes are exemplified by equality in the days and nights of all time zones, then solstices are about disparities in these measures. During solstices, Earth’s axis is either pointed towards or away from the Sun. This means that depending on what hemisphere you’re in, you either experience the longest or the shortest day of the year.
