3 Unless you live far enough from the nearest town or city, your stargazing will be affected by light pollution. That’s not quite the disaster it may seem when you’re starting out, because light pollution only allows the brightest stars to be visible. This can make it easier to get to know the night sky, allowing you to easily find constellations. However, if you go to a place with very little light pollution you’ll be amazed by what else you can see.
