The unexpected climber
CLIMBING versions of bush roses are a useful sub-group of climbing roses, and are well worth looking out for. Of these, ‘Climbing Iceberg’ (white) and ‘Climbing Cécile Brünner’ (pink) stand out, along with ‘Climbing Étoile de Hollande’ (red) and ‘Climbing Lady Hillingdon’ (apricot/yellow). All have AGMs.
To avoid disappointment, the important thing is to double check when you’re shopping – if you want the climbing form, you need to make sure you order the climbing form.
