BOB FLOWERDEW
You need to order now for the next growing season!
1 Oil or grease latches, catches, hinges, locks and sliders on greenhouses and sheds so they can still move if frozen.
2 Colder weather makes the rubber tyres of wheelbarrows harder (and more difficult to push) as the pressure gets less, so add more air. 3
On bright days use a long cane to knock off mummified apples and other fruits, thus preventing these infecting future crops.
4
Use shrivelling stored apples before they go over. Turn them into apple purée as it’s useful in all sorts of Christmas dishes.
