Main themes are announced for Chelsea 2019
RECONNECTING with nature and celebrating the centenary of the Forestry Commission are two of the themes for this year’s Chelsea Flower Show (21-25 May).
Seven-time gold-medalwinning designer Andy Sturgeon will be drawing inspiration for his garden from nature’s power to regenerate. His woodland landscape will contain young trees, ferns and jewel-like flowers, with stone platforms and huge burnt timber sculptures representing natural rock formations.
Another gold-medal winner, Sarah Eberle, is also back, this time exploring the challenges facing forests and forestry today.
Other Main Avenue gardens will display inspiration from Yorkshire, South America, Dubai and all spots in between. The Great Pavilion and Artisan garden section will also continue to inspire and delight.
