Dierama dilemma
QI have a large clump of dierama with old foliage at its base. Could I lift it and replant?
Mrs P Bayes, Norwich, Norfolk
ADo nothing to your dierama until spring when, if it is large enough, split it into well-rooted sections and replant them in a sunny spot with fertile soil. This is also the best time to remove any dead leaves.
Encourage the offsets to flourish by feeding them monthly, from April to September, with fish, blood and bone meal.
