Storing chemicals

Many chemicals can be put away for the winter months as you won’t be needing them again until weeds start to grow and pests emerge next spring.

Always store them in their original packaging or bottles somewhere safe, secure, dry and cool.

Place dry products on a shelf above liquids, reducing the risk of leaks and chemical reactions.

Keep pesticides and weedkiller­s separate from feeds and fertiliser­s to avoid confusion.

Never dispose of unwanted/ excess chemicals down drains or the sink.
