Get optimum flower power
WHERE space is tight, choose border plants that flower over a long period, such as Oenothera lindheimeri, Helenium ‘Sahin’s Early Flowerer’, the geraniums ‘Bill Wallis’ and ‘Ann Folkard’ and vervains (such as Verbena hastata f. rosea), all of which will keep you in blooms for months. Also consider plants that repeat flower if deadheaded – the likes of Rosa Fragrant Cloud and Nepeta ‘Six Hills Giant’.
