Scented shrub

-

QPlease can you identify this shrub, which we pass on our dog walks. It smells absolutely divine!

Lisa and Tricia, Portchester, Hampshire

AI feel sure that the scented shrub you encounter on your dog walks is Olearia ‘Talbot de Malahide’ or O. albida. Prized for its massed display of fragrant late-summer-to-autumn small white flowers and fluffy seed heads, it has great appeal.

Sadly, neither plant is stocked by UK nurserymen or garden centres.
