Reader’s Quick Tip

HERE is a tip to stop tall garden canes wobbling in your plastic troughs and pots. Drill a few holes 1in (2cm) beneath the rim and in the corners. Cut a length of string and push one end through a hole to the outside, wind the other end a few times around the cane and push the end back through another hole, then tie both ends together.
