Winter walls

-

PLANT winter climbers now to ensure colour in the barren, icy months ahead. There are options whatever your needs: good old ivy provides evergreen foliage, as well as shelter for birds, and the glossy evergreen leaves of the star jasmine (Trachelospermum jasminoides) will blush bronze red when planted in full sun.

Grow Clematis cirrhosa (such as the ivory ‘Ourika Valley’) for gorgeous bell flowers, winter jasmine (Jasminum nudiflorum) for bright yellow stars and Camellia sasanqua ‘Narumigata’ for scented blush white blooms.
