AI think that your summer-flowering jasmine is Jasminum x stephanense, a beautiful variety whose multitude of blossom pervades sweet scent around the garden.

Ideally, prune it when the blooms fade, removing spent flowers and intrusive shoots encroaching upon other plants. After pruning, feed with sulphate of potash to strengthen growth and encourage a good display next year.

Wild mullein is usually yellow, but cultivated varieties can be purple or peach (see below)
