Financial help in gardening careers
ANYONE interested in a career in horticulture can apply for one of five gardening scholarships available from the David Colegrave Foundation (DCF).
The scholarships are open to horticultural students in the UK and Ireland, and some also support those who are in the early days of their horticultural career.
Student applicants must be attending (or enrolled to attend) college, university or a similar educational establishment on a full or part-time basis with a view to seeking permanent full-time employment in commercial or production ornamental horticulture on completion of their course.
The five scholarships are:

• The British Protected Ornamentals Association: Peter Seabrook Bursary awards up to
£1,000 to support the study of commercial horticulture.
• The Horticultural Research Scholarship: awards £2,500 to support horticultural research.
• The John Gibson Environmental Scholarship: £1,500 to support environmental solutions as applied to commercial horticulture.
• The Student Scholarship: Five successful applicants will receive
£1,000 each to support their horticultural studies.
