Replant alpines in a sink
1
Having emptied and scrubbed the sink out and placed crocks over the drainage hole, you should add well-drained compost.
2
If using rocks, slates or smaller stones, place them in position and create your strata. Thin rocks set on edge make outcrops for succulents and crevice plants.
3
Arrange the plants, and using a trowel, plant them so that the shoulders of their rootballs are slightly proud of the compost.
4
Dress with topping-off grit, smallsized shingle or fine pieces of stone so rootballs are covered, and crowns and foliage uncluttered.
