9 reliable repeat-flowering roses

-

Buxom Beauty (‘Korbilant’) AGM

A strong hybrid tea rose whose large double blooms of deep magenta-pink have a purple cast. Shapely and highcentred, they are blessed with a strong, fruity fragrance. Plants are vigorous and upright. H&S: 3ft (1m).

‘Buff Beauty’ AGM

A classic hybrid musk introduced in 1939 and well-loved for its richly fragrant semidouble blooms often at their best in autumn. Flowers show variable hues of apricot, primrose and honey. HxS: 5x4ft (1.5x1.2m).

‘Alibaba’ AGM

Clusters of double flowers in glowing apricot pink are like the prettiest ruffles on a dancer’s skirt. Blooms emit a strong, fruity fragrance and plants will suit a north wall. HxS: 8x5ft (2.5x1.5m).

Absolutely Fabulous (‘Wekvossutono’) AGM

A healthy, fragrant floribunda (clusterflowered) whose double blooms are described as old gold, fading to paleyellow. Tolerates poor soils and will grow in a container. HxS: 3x2ft (1mx60cm).

‘Mousseline’

This old perpetual moss rose is also known as ‘Alfred de Dalmas’. Aromatic, mossy buds open to clusters of creamy, semi-double flowers flushed pink and with strong, sweet scent. HxS: 3x2ft (1mx60cm).

Awakening (‘Probuzení’)

An offspring of popular and healthy ‘New Dawn’, but with old-fashioned-style fully double and quartered, fragrant flowers of silvery-pink. Tolerates light shade and poor soils. HxS: 10x8ft (3x2.4m).

‘Norwich Castle’

The rich and soft apricot tones of this floribunda are my favourite rose flower colour. Shapely blooms are fragrant and abundantly produced on strong, healthy plants against dark green foliage. HxS: 3x2ft (1mx60cm).

Silas Marner (‘Ausraveloe’)

One of the newest English shrub roses bred by David Austin whose mediumsized, mid-pink flowers have an old-rose scent. Plants are healthy with glossy leaves and arching habit. HxS: 3½x4½ft (110x140cm).

‘Étoile de Hollande’ AGM

It’s hard to find a better crimson-flowered climber than this floriferous and richly perfumed climbing hybrid tea. Strong stems are ideal for honeysuckle and clematis to climb through. H&S: 10ft (3m).
