Sun Pic­tures Then & Now: Tal­bot and his Legacy To­day, West Em­bank­ment Gallery, Som­er­set House Op­por­tu­nity to see vin­tage Tal­bot prints along­side con­tem­po­rary work in­spired by him. Con­tribut­ing artists in­clude Cor­nelia Parker, Vera Lut­ter and Hiroshi Sugi­moto. Parker will be speak­ing about Tal­bot as part of the Photo Lon­don Talks Pro­gramme, 17 May.

Pav­il­ion Com­mis­sion: Daido Moriyama, Pav­il­ion, Som­er­set House Moriyama cap­tures Japan’s so­ci­etal up­heavals and cul­tural shifts. Through­out his ca­reer, he has re­peat­edly re­turned to Tokyo’s enig­matic Shin­juku district as a sub­ject for his work.

Mary McCart­ney at Na­tional Por­trait Gallery Pho­tog­ra­pher Mary McCart­ney talks to Martin Barnes, Se­nior Cu­ra­tor of Pho­tographs at the V& A, about her por­trai­ture, move in to mo­tion, love of dance and cap­tur­ing in­ti­mate, al­most voyeuris­tic, mo­ments.

The Royal Pho­to­graphic So­ci­ety Presents Su­san Lip­per, Talks Au­di­to­rium, Som­er­set House Awarded the Guggen­heim Fel­low­ship in 2015, Lip­per presents themes from her portfolio in­clud­ing work from her new mono­graph, ‘Do­mes­ti­cated Land’, which will be re­leased by MACK at Photo Lon­don.
