Huawei P20 Pro
Advocates of smartphone photography always like to say that the best camera is the one you have with you. However, as a camera reviewer, I’m always carrying a ‘proper’ camera of some sort, so I’ve never really used the camera on my phone very much. However, that changed when I reviewed the P20 Pro. It’s a really clever device that uses three cameras including telephoto and monochrome modules. It also throws in lots of computational photography tricks, such as a remarkable handheld night-shot mode. The image quality is way better than it has any right to be, and while it certainly won’t replace a DSLR, it’s a brilliant pocket camera that I use far more than those on the various iPhones I owned before.
