Frosty Red Berries

Canon EOS 200D, 18-55mm, 1/200sec at f/ 5.6, ISO 400

- By Stephen Boney

This early morning wintry shot was uploaded to Instagram using the hashtag #appicoftheweek. It was taken by photographer Steve Boney. He tells us, ‘I woke up early on a frosty morning in South Wales following a restless night of sleep because of the cold. I woke up to crystal- clear skies and a very harsh frost. On venturing out to try to warm up I came across the beautiful red berry bush which was just starting to be touched by the early morning sun and looked perfect to photograph.’ By using the longest focal length of 55mm, Steve was able to fill the frame with the wonderful red berries.
