1 It’s a good idea to have some sort of theme because it keeps you focused and motivated, but don’t try to use a different camera every day.

2 If you’re not enjoying your 365 project – if it’s too much of an imposition or you’re not learning anything – there is no shame in stopping. Your time might be better spent doing something else.

3 365 challenges are a great way to find ideas for other projects. In 2010 I started a 365, but a month into it I took a picture of a Victorian shopping arcade in Cardiff and abandoned the 365 to pursue that idea instead.
