Infrared gem

Amateur Photographer - - Your Letters -

In Inbox 17 November, you asked what were readers’ favourite early digicams. Mine is the Olympus Camedia C-2020 Zoom. Why? Because it’s one of the few early digital cameras without an infrared blocking filter, making it ideal for handheld infrared photography, with around 1/60sec at f/4 quite possible with an R72 Infrared filter fitted. And you can see the image clearly on the viewing screen. You only get 2.1MP, but that’s plenty for web use. Mine still gets regular outings when green leaves and sunshine are present, as the effect is stunning. Brian Parkin
