Natural processing

I enjoyed looking through the winners of APOY’s Round 8 in AP 22-29 December 2018. But I was a bit puzzled by your comment on Ram Kumar’s photo that you would prefer to see more ‘natural processing’. The very concept of post-production is not ‘natural’. When we as photographers make any adjustments to an image, no matter how subtle, the end goal is always to make the image better. A good photo is a good photo is a good photo, and whether it is achieved ‘naturally’ or by dragging a Lightroom filter all the way to the right need not matter. Conor Hallahan
