Bargain

-

Whilst visiting a local charity shop I stumbled upon a box containing photographic equipment. On closer inspection I discovered an EOS 300 with a standard zoom, covered in dust and grime. I’d never used an EOS before but for £15 plus a cash donation I bought it.

I was pleased that the previous owner had tted a UV lter on the lens to protect it. I also sourced a test report about it carried out by your good selves at AP, recommending it. I was surprised to nd that it had a depth-of- eld button and manually selectable focusing points. The view nder was reasonably bright and benevolent towards spectacles wearers.

The slide lm I put through the camera was well exposed and proved the metering to be accurate. I enjoyed using this camera and although it’s a little on the small size it will get plenty of use. Pat Whelan

You have got yourself a bargain there, Pat. Has anyone found a better charity shop bargain?
