Compact kit lens

The Nikon Z 5 is available body only (£1,449), with the FTZ adapter (£1,589), with the new 24-50mm lens (£1,719) or with the new 24-50mm lens and FTZ adapter (£1,859). The Nikkor Z 24-50mm f/4-6.3 is one of the smallest (73.5x51mm) and lightest (195g) full-frame zoom lenses on the market and currently the most affordable in the Z-series line-up. It works out £90 less than Nikon’s second least expensive full-frame Z-mount lens – the Z 50mm f1.8

S. It features a construction of 11 elements in 10 groups, has an internal focusing system, 7 aperture blades and a minimum focus distance of 35cm throughout its zoom range. The maximum aperture closes to f/4.5 by 28mm, f/5.6 by 40mm and f/6.3 at 50mm. Its build quality isn’t as good as S-Line Z-mount lenses (it has a plastic lens mount), but it does bene t from a rubberised zoom ring, a 52mm lter thread, and offers quiet autofocus performance.
