Dry Fly Straight Wheat Whiskey Finished in a Beer Barrel
DRY FLY DISTILLING
Peggy
Nose: Light wheat bread and cane sugar. Fresh golden apple, bright and herbaceous. Some malty essence with faint wood.
Palate: Gentle and rolls with the sweetness of honey and baked bread. Slight mint and coffee notes. Clean and crisp. Fruit compote.
Finish: Some smoke notes come through in the finish, but the original flavors of first sip lay on the tongue with staying power.
Comments: Delicate and dry for an easygoing drinker that wants a soft touch.

Nose: Malty. Then vanilla and ripe pears follow. Not a lot of depth, but appealing. Notes of light cinnamon appear.
Palate: Very sweet vanilla and spices. The light cinnamon from the nose moves to cinnamon red-hot candy, with some oak tannins.
Finish: The cinnamon fades to be replaced by malt and oak tannins.
Comments: Interesting combination of sweet and spice. It is certainly worth trying as an example of a different profile from more wellknown whiskey styles. 7.8
